50 Years | 50 Works | 50 Days of Städtische Galerie

Exhibition venues are currently under scrutiny. There is a justified call for sustainable practices, diverse perspectives, barrier-free access, and inspiring ideas. Haus Coburg is rising to these challenges: the mobility transition, climate and social justice, cultural work in the diaspora, and creative interventions in public urban spaces—these are just a few highlights from our program in recent years.

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Städtische Galerie. With the first exhibition of the anniversary year, we are intensifying our focus on urban society and inviting participation. For 50 days, others will decide which works fill the exhibition spaces.

We will then present one work per person—up to a total of 50 works—for 50 days. At the same time, we are preparing an accompanying program centered on diversity of voices. We look forward to new faces, unexpected encounters, and diverse themes.
